Agreed. And when it "works" it is just terrible. A joke. I just uploaded an image showing clean line of text. Both upper and lower case letters. Many examples. It had delicate lines and a slab serif. (Berkley.) And the suggestions were big display fonts - something decorative you might see on a poster - for the circus! Could not be a worse match.
