Multiple Fonts Have the Same XUID
https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ab-neuron
https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ab-polcadot
https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ab-digicombThese three fonts have the same XUID. They may not print correctly.
Not only these, but XUIDs should be removed from all fonts released through Adobe Fonts.

fj ligature for Adobe Kis
I was trying to contact font designer Robert Slimbach directly about this issue, but that (unsurprisingly) was not so easy. The issue is that Adobe Kis does not contain a fj-ligature, something which I fully expect a full featured font from Adobe to have (the other great fonts by Slimbach, like Warnock, Minion and Garamond Premier all have this). The letter combination fj is unheard of in English, but very common in Norwegian, so a discerning designer in Norway will avoid fonts that have no fj ligature. So even though Adobe Kis is a really great font, and I was…

Font stroke/outline overlapping issue
Hi,
I've come across a problem with some fonts, where the paths of the characters overlap. This happens when the text has only strokes and no fill or when the stroke is above the fill (screenshot: Roboto Condensed outline overlapping InDesign).
The problems seems to occur mostly with variable fonts, but it happens also with static fonts. For example Roboto Condensed font family (downloaded from fonts.google.com, not activated through Adobe Fonts) has this issue with their static fonts (the font has static and variable versions, variable is not installed).
I've had the same outcome in several Adobe software, such as…

Brandon Grotesque font doesn't work properly with Cyrillic characters
The Brandon Grotesque font has support for Cyrillic characters in all styles, but for some unknown reason, after installing it from Adobe Fonts, not all styles display the text correctly. For example, only light and bold work, and tofu is displayed in other styles.
This problem occurs not only to me, but to all my colleagues, so I assume that the problem is in the font.2 votes -
The Lato typefaces you have display the wrong '⅘'
The Lato typefaces you have display the wrong '⅘' (it appears as 4/8 rather than 4/5; There's no Unicode for 4/8).
This has long been fixed in the Lato source, in v3.

Allow CSS font-weight to be used with variable fonts by putting the full range in @font-face
See discussion here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-fonts-discussions/allow-css-font-weight-to-be-used-with-variable-fonts-by-putting-the-full-range-in-font-face/m-p/13539383#M7419
Summary: when serving variable fonts via CSS, Adobe specifies their
font-weight
as400
instead of (say)100 1000
in the@font-face
declaration, which means thefont-weight
CSS property cannot be used to change these fonts' weights; you must use, say,font-variation-settings: "wght" 700
. Ideally Adobe would use100 1000
as thefont-weight
in the@font-face
declaration so that users could usefont-weight
in their CSS to change the weight of a variable font.7 votes -

Décalage police Roboto
Hello !

Bug in Bennet Text : Superscript numbers only properly renders as a serif when a subscript is added in Figma
https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/bennet-text
This doesn't happen with other Adobe serif fonts (or other serif fonts outside of Adobe fonts), but this one. It renders as a sans-serif when a number is chosen. If it's letters or words, it's a proper serif.
However, you add anywhere in the paragraph a subscript, which properly renders as serif, the superscript suddenly turns into a serif.
This behavior is showcased in Figma.
