Allow users to hide fonts that they don't want in the dropdown menu.
Users should be able to 'hide' fonts that they don't want to see in the drop down menu. System fonts like 'Noto Sans' essentially divide the whole menu with a large number of fonts that can't be deleted from the system. Having the ability to hide these fonts is the solution that many people have been asking for, but for some reason both adobe and apple have ignored the problem.

A simple option for hiding all international fonts from the font menu on the mac is long overdue. Apple native apps by default only show "English" fonts and have an option for "All Fonts" which show international language fonts. This is such an important problem that Adobe needs to fix. It makes type designing incredibly frustrating sifting through fonts they will never use.

This functionality is long overdue. In-app font selection is a very basic workflow problem. Please start taking the basic issues seriously, Adobe.

Totally agree! Having a solution to hide Noto and other annoying system fonts is a must. And just to have program level control over things like system fonts and non-adobe user fonts would be very helpful.

Mac users do need some help here. On Windows it's not a problem because the Noto family isn't an OS-level default, but I've heard from a number of Mac folks that Noto is driving them to increasingly strong drink.)
Just in general, it would be a great feature to allow specific font families to be hidden or dropped (as, for example, non-essential, non-Latin system fonts can be hidden in Windows, and CJK fonts can be dropped to the bottom of the font list in CC apps).

Noto fonts are a waste of space and not used in the font list. Please make them OPTIONAL and able to deactivate.
