Fix Adobe fonts. Maybe make it so that when I activate a font it is actually activated. That would be nice.

Hightower font issues.
I installed the font at fonts.abobe.com - it was supposedly available in the Creative Cloud app. It was not in the app. It was not in Illustrator. I restarted Creative Cloud and Illustrator - no joy. I added/removed multiple times before it was available - sometimes removing the family would only remove one of the 2 fonts.
This is for a minor text change in a production job. I cannot afford to spend 20 minutes getting your fonts to work in order to make a 5 second text change. This is not an isolated case.
I am the prepress manager at a label and packaging printer; I have been using Adobe apps for over 20 years. I have been using fonts through Creative Cloud for several years with no issues - until recently. Please fix this.

    Hi Shaun - thanks for sharing your feedback. I will bring this to the engineering team to investigate any underlying issues. If there are other applications experiencing font sync issues, please let me know so I can add those details to the engineering spike. Thanks.

    I have recently been experiencing, with more and more frequency, Adobe fonts not syncing in Illustrator and Indesign even though they are active. It can usually be resolved by removing the font and re-activating, but the reactivation is very slow and takes a couple of minutes before I can use the font again.

    This keeps happening to me too. So frustrating. So much time online to the support team who worked remotely on my mac to fix the problem and even they couldnt fix it. The issue really needs addressing properly.

    It's somehow fixed later on, but still a frustrating problem, very waste of time...

    OS/device: Mac mini (Apple M4, 2024), MacOS Sequoia 15.5

    I found it happened much more often on my new Mac mini, comparing to my old MacBook Pro, 2016 with older version OS.

    At one time, after I restarted InDesign and opened the project that I just closed, the fonts disappeared. And I was not able to add them back in the moment.
    It usually happened when the file was closed for some time, but not this time.

    Fonts automatically disappeared in my illustrator very often and I was not able to call them back.
    (Very frustrating issues, especially in ongoing projects...)

    I tried to activate a font through Adobe fonts website and Creative Cloud many times, but both of them failed.
    (My computer, illustrator, and creative cloud apps are all new and new updated.)

    What happened often was that I activated the whole family of fonts, but only some of them was activated.

    For example, I tried to activate "Questa Sans" Family with 10 fonts included, but only 9 of them were actually activated and able to use in illustrator. "Questa Sans Regular" was not able to activate after plenty of tries.
    (The weird thing was that it showed only 8 of them in creative cloud...)

    It will be very helpful if you fix it.

    I don't know how to fix this because it's the most unbearable issue to get around. I can't tell you how many times I've lost hours because the front of the font Adobe Typkit does not sync with InDesign. Then InDesign does not let you clear the background tasks. The whole Adobe suite of programs is slowly becoming a pile of shit. I have done everything to try to fix this on my own. Restarting the computer, updating the programs, uninstalling the program and fonts over and over and over and it's always one or two fonts that can never sync. Then when they do the next time I open the file the other fonts don't sync. How can anyone work like this let alone take Adobe seriously? At what point will Adobe try to fix this?

    Does anyone have any suggestions on other programs that could replace InDesign? or how I could save the fonts locally on my PC?

    font shows as active in fonts.adobe.com, not showing in illustrator. I quit Illustrator and restarted - no joy.

    Illustrator 28.7.1 with Esko Deskpack 24.07 Plugins and Connect Fonts 26.0.0
    If I disable Connect Fonts plugin the problem is NOT resolved.

    Hi Kathleen,
    Does this issue still persist? We have not been able to reproduce it with Illustrator v29 and the Hightower font family. If this issue still persists, please send us a screenshot of the issue on Illustrator.
