Here is one screenshot from Mendl in Indesign, one for Mendl in Illustrator and one for a random other font in illustrator, just to compare.

Hi Anna - I have filed this issue with the development team. Can I ask for a screenshot to share what it looks like in both Illustrator and InDesign when you attempt to apply alternate glyphs?

The same problem in Indesign, even though "Show for character alternates" is checked. Newest CC version both Illustrator and Indesign.

Hi Anna - What version of Illustrator are you seeing this? Do you happen to see this in InDesign, if you're using that as well?

Hi :) Yes, alternate glyph's is enabled, and as I said, it is seems it is only with Mendl Sans this occurs, although I haven't checked every font.

Hi Anna - Can you confirm that the setting for alternate glyphs is enabled in Illustrator? Is this issue only occurring for Mendl Sans?

I haven't checked every glyph for the whole font, but so far, it seems that the bug is in this font and not anywhere else.
