1. Issues with Adobe Aldine and Adobe Kis in French typesetting

   While exploring Aldine and Adobe Kis for French-language typesetting, I noticed a couple of small issues:

   • After a capital “L”, the kerning of the apostrophe seems overly tight when followed by certain lowercase vowels such as a, e, or o (actually, in some cases, it appears even tighter than if the apostrophe were not present at all). This can cause unfortunate ambiguities in French, where a phrase like “L’aine” might be visually mistaken for “Laine”—two words with very different meanings.

   • In combinations like “fè”, the ascender of the f tends to collide or nearly touch the è. While tight spacing in “fè” is quite typical in old-style typefaces, the proximity here feels unusually close. In French, this happens often (typically “Je préfère”). In italics, the problem is even more serious, with an outright collision (especially with Adobe Kis).

2. Adobe Aldine

   I am very enjoying how Adobe Aldine looks, but I am wondering why it has such a large descender height. Is this intended? If not, I wish this was fixed, since using Aldine somehow breaks line spacing or some features. I really like the fonts and the glyps itself, therefore I wish brief feedback.

3. Scrapbooker Sans Regular displaying as Scrapbooker Sans Italic Regular

   Scrapbooker Sans Regular is appearing as Scrapbooker Sans Italic Regular on the Adobe Fonts website and when added to a Web Project. The fonts previously installed for Adobe desktop apps still appears as the original non-italic version.

4. Fix your exploits

   People are exploiting online storage through your app, I have enough space on my Adobe Account, have checked all my files. This is a result of targeted harassment due to people provoking via rage baiting then trying to use that as a justification for their own behaviour. Now they're harassing girls through this same method, how do I know? because if it's happening to me it can happen to anyone.

5. Missing Font Styles (e.g. Regular, SemiBold) in Properties Panel for Captions/Text v25.5

   In Premiere Pro v25.5 (Build 13), certain font styles are missing from the Font Style dropdown in the Properties panel when working with Captions or Text.

   Despite these fonts being:
   • Installed and fully active via Adobe Fonts (green status in Creative Cloud)
   • Verified as working in other Adobe apps like Photoshop or Illustrator
   • Showing the full style set (e.g., Regular, SemiBold) on fonts.adobe.com

   They do not appear as options in the Properties panel. For example:
   • Montserrat Regular and Montserrat SemiBold do not show up.
   • Only styles like Light, Thin, or Bold Italic are available in the dropdown.
   • This happens even after clearing Media Cache, logging out of Creative Cloud, restarting the system, and re-syncing the fonts.
   • The issue is present across multiple projects, not isolated to one timeline.

   Repro Steps:
   1. Open Premiere Pro v25.5
   2. Create a new caption or text item
   3. Go to the Properties panel > Font Style
   4. Attempt to select a missing style (e.g., Montserrat SemiBold or Regular)

   Expected Result:
   All active styles for a font family (as listed in Adobe Fonts) should appear in the dropdown.

   Actual Result:
   Some styles are missing, even though they are synced, verified, and appear in other Adobe applications.

   Additional Notes:
   • This appears to affect variable fonts or fonts with overlapping styles.
   • Legacy Title tool does show all styles correctly.
   • This issue did not exist in older versions using the Essential Graphics Panel.

   System Info:
   • Premiere Pro v25.5, Build 13
   • macOS / Windows [← (choose your platform)]
   • Fonts tested: Montserrat, Poppins, others
   • Creative Cloud fully up to date

   Suggested Fix:
   Improve font style parsing in the new Properties-based text engine so that it accurately reflects all available styles from activated Adobe Fonts, especially Regular and SemiBold weights.

7. Submit font feedback

   I would like to be able to submit an issue with the font. Either via Comment on the font page or in a dm to the font foundry.
   Example: I downloaded the Industry Inc Font Family. But one of the font layers that is used in the font header images is not included with the download and doesn't appear else where either.

8. Aktiv Grotesk Rendering Issue

   Font randomly stopped respecting line height. This only happens for Aktiv Grotesk. Temporary solution is to set line height explicitly and change display to inline-block.

10. Antonia Variable font engineering issue (Italics don't work)

    On OSX, when adding Antonia Variable to my project, only the Roman styles end up being available in InDesign.

    On the Adobe Fonts Web UI, there's two fonts, but installing results in just one font (Antonia Variable) in InDesign's menus, and only the axes / styles from Antonia Variable Roman are available. Antonia Variable Oblique doesn't show up in menus.

11. PF Grand Gothic

    Removing the single styles and only offer the font as a variable was a major bummer. But despite this, when i add the font it only adds the Regular weight and not as a variable.

    The underlying issue has been fixed, and will be included in the next version update of the CC Desktop apps.

13. Baseline misalignment in between the styles of URW Baskerville

    I have an issue with URW Baskerville since the baseline does not align from Regular to Italic. Maybe it's a baseline or vertical metric bug? Baseline alignment across different styles should be a fundamental expectation, right? Unfortunately we use this font in our ID. 14. Acumin Pro font vertical aligment a long way off

    When used as a webfont from Adobe, Acumin Pro used to work well. It appears the font files were updated by Adobe in November 2024 (based on using the FontDrop service to compare the metadata in an old working font project and a newly created one). On Windows (or an Android), text now appears considerably higher than center, throwing out any use of vertical alignment. On a Mac, text appears below center, meaning extra padding is not a workaround. See comparison of the old and new woff file at FontDrop on a PC in attached image - most importantly, how different the position of the first line is from the top of the box, but also the highlighted selection. Can this be fixed?

    Edit - I had the screenshots the wrong way around; the one on the right is how it used to look, showing the new version on the left is considerably higher.

16. Cocon Pro Family Font Error

    https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/ff-cocon#fonts-section

    The Web versions of FF Cocon Pro fonts do not display correctly when using them - they're all linked to italic versions (even the non-Italic versions!). It's the same on Adobe Fonts as well, which is strange. Please advise. Thanks!

17. Fix an unreachable character

    You have added excellent fonts from the 'Narkiss' families of 'Fontef' Foundry.
    (We would very like to see more Narkiss families, such as the famous 'Narkiss Block', which can be considered as Helvetica in Hebrew)

    The 'Narkiss Text - Bold' font has a problem with the Hebrew letter 'ש'.
    Its full form cannot be added, even though it is displayed in the glyph panel.
    I checked in depth by InDesign and only when the text engine is set to an engine that does not support the Hebrew language (for Hebrew, a 'World Ready' engine is required) - then the desired 'ש' appears as default...

    Since this is the more beautiful form of the letter, and it has been one of the classic fonts in the Hebrew language for decades - we would be happy if the specific glyph-bug was fixed and the glyph was available with a normal click in the text processing engine that supports Hebrew.

20. maintaining font activation

    Fonts that I use daily will deactivate and are difficult to reactivate. Multiple tries needed removing and adding through CC interface. More than frustrating situation. Note: Auto-activate in InDesign hangs, so is turned off. MacOS 14x, ID 2024
