SCROLLING IN LARGE QUANTITIES
SCROLLING IN LARGE QUANTITIES
If I as a professional am looking for a font I want to be able to scroll. Now I have to look and then click to the next page over and over again. This gives a big delay in the process. Websites like DaFont give you the option to look per 25, 500 100 or 200 fonts. I d not understand how a company specialized in graphic software can miss this and needs to be asked for this feature.4 votes -
ChatGPT to find a font based on a brand character I can briefly describe
I am a visual designer who firmly believes that font choice can make or break a brand. I would love to see the module in GPT/Bard to help me select a font that matches Adobe fonts for a brand character I can describe. Also, explain and educate you about the reasoning behind choosing these particular fonts.

Brandon Grotesque font doesn't work properly with Cyrillic characters
The Brandon Grotesque font has support for Cyrillic characters in all styles, but for some unknown reason, after installing it from Adobe Fonts, not all styles display the text correctly. For example, only light and bold work, and tofu is displayed in other styles.
This problem occurs not only to me, but to all my colleagues, so I assume that the problem is in the font.1 vote -

Please add a scroll bar for the fonts list in the Creative Cloud Desktop App
The Adobe Fonts section in the Creative Cloud Desktop App needs some improvements to its user interface. Currently the fonts list does not have a functioning scroll bar. At work I use a desktop PC running Win 11 Pro and at home I use a notebook running Win 10 Pro. At work I can get by using the scroll wheel on my mouse. At home I have a Wacom tablet connected; the only way I can scroll through the fonts list is by hitting arrow keys on the keyboard. And that often doesn't work. It's really annoying.
I really miss…

Please add a way to filter fonts by style in CC desktop
Filtering fonts by Serif, Sans Serif, etc. – like in the apps themselves – would be helpful when managing in CC desktop.

PLEASE give an option to preview ALL STYLES AT ONCE without needing to turn down folder arrows!
As a Designer working to create branding, identity and logos, for over 25 years, when searching for a font to use for literally anything, I need to quickly see all font styles at once and don't have time to manually turn down every folders' arrow to preview them individually. Sometimes different styles look entirely different than the version presented by default, and this can't be anticipated. It's better to have the option to preview all styles than making users do more work accomplish this. I've found that having this feature (as you can in Suitcase) is a HUGE time saving…

Some bug has come up with uploading images for text search
This error message kept coming up when I would try to upload the image I need to search the text for. This has always worked for me up until now, I tried changing internet connection, closing adobe fonts & reopening, turning my computer on and off, other image files.

It MUST be made possible to deactivate Adobe Fonts at an application level
I am not the only document and book designer to be frustrated with Adobe Fonts. The service interferes with standard InDesign workflows in an ever-expanding list of ways, most notably by (current bug) randomly preventing 3rd-party font managers from activating fonts, attempting to auto-activate cloud versions of fonts that were typeset using an earlier version with different kerning tables, randomly activating numerous fonts the user has not requested, and noticeably slowing down InDesign when opening documents: particularly frustrating if the user has no need of the Adobe Fonts service.
Adobe Fonts is not a complete font management solution, nor can…

more glyph visibility!!
You need to show complete glyph map ... we purchase/activate/download much of the type we used based on the presence of specific features. Display type is often picked based on particular characters, ligatures, etc; text faces picked on the basis of features that we need (sc, osf, etc) ... today I needed type with circled numerals, but couldn't figure out a way to find that info on your site, but luckily Molly helped me out via social channels. MyFonts shows a full glyph map, and they're eating your lunch on this feature at least! It would be awesome if Adobe…

Warning message on Adobe fonts when there is a bug.
Add a visible warning message when there is a bug like this one, lasting so long. I've wasted a lot of time trying to fix the issue. No need that others waste their time too.

Activating fonts for non-Adobe apps
God almighty, please, especially now that Adobe bought Figma, let me bulk activate fonts for non-Adobe apps in CC without having to MANUALLY check every variant of a font I want to sync.
I am holding back a lot of contempt for the product managers at Adobe who thought of this feature. Quintessentially a sample of gratuitous suffering that the Adobe team has gotten us used to as paying customers.

Allow CSS font-weight to be used with variable fonts by putting the full range in @font-face
See discussion here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-fonts-discussions/allow-css-font-weight-to-be-used-with-variable-fonts-by-putting-the-full-range-in-font-face/m-p/13539383#M7419
Summary: when serving variable fonts via CSS, Adobe specifies their
font-weight
as400
instead of (say)100 1000
in the@font-face
declaration, which means thefont-weight
CSS property cannot be used to change these fonts' weights; you must use, say,font-variation-settings: "wght" 700
. Ideally Adobe would use100 1000
as thefont-weight
in the@font-face
declaration so that users could usefont-weight
in their CSS to change the weight of a variable font.7 votes -

More search filters, search tags, and dual filter search
I wish we could have better tags for searching fonts, as well as using multiple filters at once. Adobe font's should just steal what dafont.com uses. It takes way too long to find a font I need on their site

Add a details field to Custom Fonts to keep track of the third-party license such as how many users it's allowed for and how long it's good
Add a details field to Custom Fonts to keep track of the third-party license, as we're having to go with a different application to keep track of the dozens and dozens of non-Adobe Fonts across hundreds of projects. Custom Fonts would have been a great solution if we could keep track of this metadata, but as it stands, we can't go hunting through e-mails and website accounts if our font usage is audited.
