  2. Hello! My name is Yordan and I'm from Bulgaria. Maybe you don't know where Cyrillic comes from, but I will tell you. The Early Cyrillic alphabet was developed during the 9th century AD at the Preslav Literary School in the First Bulgarian Empire. It's so bad that you don't have any fonts for Cyrillic and the Bulgarian language is not on the list with others that use the same alphabet. Remember the history!

  3. There are some HUGE gaps in Adobe collection, especially since you dropped former "gold-standard" Type 1.

This is a "wish-list" for OpenType fonts:

You need to replace some fonts you dropped, others that you never had, fill some gaping basic-stuff holes, flesh-out some families, try to keep things consistantly available, and some of this is simply stuff that would be nice to have.

Although support for Type 1 fonts has ended, we have not removed any fonts from our service. Many of the fonts on your list are already included in the Adobe Fonts library as part of your Creative Cloud subscription.

If you are looking to replace Type 1 fonts that are not offered in our library, we recommend reaching out to the foundry or their reseller. Further details and recommendations can be found in our help article.

    DeepL translation

Korean and Chinese fonts appear in the search results list, even though the search is filtered for "Japanese.
Those fonts can be used for hiragana and katakana, but they are probably rarely activated by Japanese people for the purpose of using Japanese because of the different shapes of kanji characters.
Many Japanese people feel uncomfortable when the character forms are different and are convinced that the text is not written by a native Japanese speaker.
Currently, the filter makes no sense.
It is uncomfortable to feel as if our language…

  5. I'd like to be able to do 2 things from within the Adobe Fonts interface, and if possible through Adobe apps:

    1) Create / choose a template to create type specimen sheets, and
    2) Create personal / shareable Font Packs.

The specimen sheet request is a great way to preview a font/family.

Personally curated Font Packs would be invaluable for curating and activating/deactivating project-based fonts.

    • select your primary body font, then be able search/filter fonts to use as heading fonts without having to 'install/add fonts'

    • or be able to select a range of fonts you're interested in, then be able to pair it with your chosen body font. similar to how in ecommerce you can compare products

  11. As an enthusiastic user of your diverse range of fonts, I am writing to express a significant need for a specific language filter: Lithuanian. This language, although small in its number of speakers, carries a historical and cultural significance that is often underestimated.

Lithuanian, belonging to the Baltic branch of the Indo-European languages, is often considered one of the oldest languages still in use today. It retains many archaic features, which are believed to be close to the original Proto-Indo-European language. This gives the Lithuanian language not only historical but also linguistic importance, as it provides valuable insights into the…

  14. The licensing information for fonts is extremely minimal and confusing. I was using this font on a website, because according to Adobe it is cleared for "website publishing". . . But I still received an email from the font foundry that I wasn't legally using the font, and now I have to pay them for a license. I'm still confused as to how I am supposed to "legally" use Adobe fonts on website, and when I called customer service to get a better explanation- they were unable to help me. So my suggestions would be:
    1. Provide much more detailed…

  15. RECENT DROP OF SUPPORT FOR TYPE 1 (FORMERLY "GOLD-STANDARD") AND DROPPING OF "NEED-TO-HAVE" STUFF LIKE TIMES AND HELVETICA FAMILIES HAVE PROMPTED THIS.

SOME FONTS HAVE BEEN DROPPED/REMOVED; SOME ARE CONSPICUOUS "GAPS" IN CRITICAL NEED-TO-HAVE FONTS/FAMILIES; SOME ARE THINGS THAT WOULD BE REALLY NICE TO HAVE (REQUESTS); AND SOME ARE STUFF YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY ADDED.

    PLEASE FILL THE GAPS.

  16. Suggestion: provide options to sort, and ideally to filter (live search) the lists of active and previously active fonts in the Creative Cloud app.

At a minimum, I'd suggest the lists be sorted alphabetically as standard. Looking at my active fonts, the order appears arbitrary at first, but I believe it must be the order in which I activated them, which I don't think is useful.

  17. Would it be possible to still have access to previous versions of fonts released (with an option to choose which version is needed).

Due the nature of the way we work, many of products are re-purposed and have a long shelf-life, i.e. reprinted over a number of years.

Release notes would be useful to help us understand the changes/differences between the versions, and whether this might impact the extent/text flow.

  18. OpenType features are referenced in the 'Details' section with a link to a generic information page, but which features are actually supported by the current typeface are not listed.

Currently, seemingly the only way to see this information is to add the typeface to a web project, edit the project, and look at the highlighted options under the 'Character Set' heading.

This is important information in certain situations, as the presence of certain OpenType features may influence whether the typeface is suitable or not (e.g. finding a font with tabular figure support for a data-heavy application).

    Thanks

Every time I have to go into fonts.adobe and deactivate them and reactivate them and the reappear. Please advise?
