  1. Hi,

I've come across a problem with some fonts, where the paths of the characters overlap. This happens when the text has only strokes and no fill or when the stroke is above the fill (screenshot: Roboto Condensed outline overlapping InDesign).

The problems seems to occur mostly with variable fonts, but it happens also with static fonts. For example Roboto Condensed font family (downloaded from fonts.google.com, not activated through Adobe Fonts) has this issue with their static fonts (the font has static and variable versions, variable is not installed).

I've had the same outcome in several Adobe software, such as…

  2. I have used it in so many past projects that I currently use and believe Adobe used to sell it in its Postscript format [which Adobe no longer supports]. Please make it available in the Adobe font library so that it can be used again in Adobe software.

  5. I think it would be good to add a "Download All Fonts" button somewhere within the fonts page in the Creative Cloud Desktop App. The button would download all fonts in your font library. This would be an amazing feature and would make it easier for users to download all their fonts at once. For example If a user buys a new computer and is not transferring their data across and is just simply doing a full reset or if someone completely resets their pc for some reason they have to go in the app and install all their fonts…

  6. Why adobe font hasnt search by Cyrillic font indicator?
my language is bulgarian, but cyrillic fonts are used by 70 languages and about 300 milions people. There are Macedonian, Russian, Serbian... my country is missing. But most fonts for Cyrillic countries have the same letters.
The search option in adobe has to have cyrillic!

  7. I mean people spent plenty of money over the years on really well-designed font collections...often time these cannot be uploaded to CS. The very least you could do is offer more high-quality type from prestigious type houses...not the generic knock-offs. Your job is to make it easier for designers to do great work. Please do not start in about the expense of licenses, you have no trouble charging your own customers hefty monthly fees. So please improve the font experience.

  8. It's very annoying and time-consuming to open a document and be told that all fonts included are inactive. Then I have to open up the Creative Cloud app, the fonts webpage, etc. to go "renew" or re-download the fonts.

Bonus: None of this has worked and even after uninstalling and reinstalling the fonts, InDesign still says they are inactive.

Bonus 2: How are these fonts "expired"? I work with these fonts in the same document at least once a month, and I have for the past two years.

This is such a waste of time. If I was a freelancer…

    1. I'd like to fine tune my font search by having more secondary groups for example if I filter by serif I'd also like to be able to browse by old style, transitional, modern, or just all.
    2. A filter for fonts with alternative characters.
    3. True small capitals

  10. Adobe should have a true font-management tool, something which allows one to manage all fonts stored on a Mac/PC. Such a tool can dramatically improve font workflow -- I've been using Maintype 11, and it's great, but Adobe should have their own tool like that.

Yes, Adobe does have a very lightweight and feature-lacking "half-tool" for managing fonts, but it's kind of a joke, and lacks almost all the features I would want to see -- it's not a true font-manager at all; it only lets you install or uninstall fonts from the fonts.adobe.com website, and doesn't let you arbitrarily…

  12. Hello. This issue with the Azo Sans webfont is back https://community.adobe.com/t5/type-typography-discussions/azo-sans-wierd-line-height/td-p/11748226

The type designer confirmed all vertical metrics are the same across the font family.

The problem is visible even when browsing your website (see attached).

I'll try to suggested ascent-override CSS declaration, but nevertheless it would helpful to not have to rely on a "hack" to get the font to display properly.

    Thank you.

  13. The font Avalanche should support Swedish characters, but the letter Å doesn't appear correct (Ä and Ö aren't perfect either but they work).

  14. Please, please, please add Welsh to the list of languages, this would save hours browsing fonts which do not have the rare w and y's with circumflex accents which are needed to typeset in Welsh. With the need to make documents accessible, ie. text readers for the visually impaired, workarounds for missing accents are no longer workable and having fonts with all the accents included is essential.

  15. I don’t know how other people are feeling about it, but when it comes to the Tags, things like Wedding of Fun don’t really help me a lot, but I would love to be able to search for Display or Condensed fonts. And I would second the suggestion someone else already made, that it would be great if there were tags according to the best use of fonts like Newspaper, Books or Magazines.

  16. For some things, I need to use Microsoft Word, but when I use my Adobe Fonts, and then either choose the 'Save As Adobe PDF' or 'Print to Adobe PDF' plugins, the Adobe Fonts just appear a scrambled mess.

Ironically, Microsoft 'Print to PDF' sometimes works, but not always. Can you please fix this?

    One wonderful example attached.

  17. Hi,

The 'About' section of the Interstate font states: ... 'The family was expanded to include full support for Central and Eastern Europe languages, as well as Cyrillic and Greek.'

That is however not the case with the version provided by Adobe, which only includes standard version without other languages support. I think this is an example tapping into a broader problem: Adobe customers are not treated equally. Those, whose projects involve languages other than those considered 'standard' (which in itself sounds bizarre), are out of luck. While the extended language version of this particular font exists and is advertised…

  18. Being able to change the preview text, the spacing, and leading would help immensely when picking out a font for a new project.
In addition to the regular preview the same pictures provided with the fonts on the website would allow for a quick overview.

  19. Please introduce better filtering options:
    - Double story/single story g
    - Double-storey/single-storey a
    - Dynamic shapes, Passive shapes, Constructed shapes
    - Fonts by use (newspaper, book, poster)
    - Fonts with variable sizes
    - type fonts
    ...

Your filter is currently a bit stone-age and just doesn't do the products justice. Thank you!
