4. Search current/activated fonts in the Creative Cloud app

   I work in figma 95% of my time and I need to activate fonts on the Adobe Fonts site AND 'install' fonts in the Creative Cloud App in order to use them with figma. Sometimes I already have the font activated for my Adobe programs and I need to find the font to then 'install the family' for figma. The Creative Cloud app filters are only set up for recently added, newest to oldest (+ the reverse) and A to Z (+ Z to A). I need a quicker way to find the font than manually scrolling through a long list of fonts.

   • Ideally, a search specific for activated fonts would be great
   • Next best, the ability to expand/collapse the font families could help make the scrolling process faster.

5. Rename and duplicate web font projects

   I would like the ability to rename existing web font projects. I would also like the ability to duplicate existing web font projects.

   Being unable to rename an existing web font project introduces risk and (what I think is) unnecessary busy-work to my web-based projects.

   My company publishes educational curricula to variety of platforms both printed and digital. All are produced as HTML templates which are proofed in a web browser and which rely upon Adobe web fonts for their typography.

   It is quite common that we don’t know at the onset of a project how many versions and platforms of a given curriculum we might have, but we need to be able to clearly communicate the distinct purpose and version of a given web font project as that curriculum grows and evolves into different platforms or iterations.

   For example, most recently we started a project for a curriculum intended for print publishing I’ll call My English Lessons. I created a web project called My English Lessons Fonts in Adobe Fonts and used the corresponding ID in the HTML templates for that curriculum. Because the final form of this project was intended for printing, not web hosting, there were a bunch of typographic needs specific to book publishing (like page numbers, title pages, running heads) that we supported in the My English Lessons Fonts web project. The project had 15 fonts, total. A few of the texts mentioned in the curriculum had Spanish characters, so we had to dial in the specific language support settings for each font in the project, too.

   When we found out that we were going to be publishing My English Lessons online, we needed a new version of the fonts project, but without all the extra typography that would make a web site ungainly to load.

   We needed to give this new version of the My English Lessons Fonts web project a name — like My English Lessons Website Fonts — that was specific to the web, so that the purpose of the web project was clear. To prevent any confusion as to the purpose of the original web project, we also needed to rename the original fonts project to My English Lessons Book Fonts.

   To accomplish this with the current Adobe Fonts feature set, I had to create a new web project for My English Lessons Book Fonts and manually add all 15 fonts/weights/styles, each with their own font family settings, emulating My English Lessons Fonts. It’s very easy to miss a weight or style, so I had two browser windows with my Manage Fonts settings side by side, so that I can compare. The font lists don’t fit on a single screen even on a sizable monitor, so there is much scrolling and loss of context as the weights/styles get separated from the names of the font family.

   I then have to replace the My English Lessons Fonts ID with the My English Lessons Book Fonts ID in my HTML templates. I try to keep the place where that is necessary to only one line of code, but that can’t always be the case for reasons.

   For a period of time, I have to maintain both My English Lessons Fonts and My English Lessons Book Fonts in my Adobe Fonts projects as the HTML templates go through the code review, QA, and deployment process. Once the updated templates are live, I can delete the now obsolete My English Lessons Fonts project from Adobe Fonts.

   Then I have to create a new web font project manually for My English Lessons Website Fonts making sure to manually add only the fonts/weights/styles that are necessary for content.

   My brain explodes when I think I might need to do this all again exponentially because we introduce a version 2 and need to include a version number or year or something in the web project names.

   With the ability to (at the very least) rename and (ideally) duplicate an existing web project, I wouldn’t have to know the future of a project at inception. I could have accomplished the evolution of a single generically named project to two variants of that project — and not had to do any code updates!!! — in less time than it’s taken me to write this darn feature request.

   I hope you seriously consider this feature request! I’m not sure how practical it would be for us to continue using Adobe web fonts projects at scale, otherwise.

6. Add "Italics" To Font Properties Fiters

   I'd love to preview fonts by seeing the italic versions of each family. For example, searching by Serifs, and narrowing my search to see only italic versions of each font. In my opinion, this filter could live within the font properties section (weight, width, etc).

7. Your font identification (AI?) is PATHETIC

   Your font identification system is incredibly deceiving...actually, pathetic! I upload an image of a bold serif font (a clear picture) and your font identification gives me a long list of sans serifs...not a single serif font. Come on Adobe! Do better.

   I would suggest looking at MyFonts – what the font?

8. Transducer font needs fixing

   I have installed the font Transducer on my Mac. But when i type our letters " ú á ó " in illustrator, then the font switches to another font. It works fine when pasting these fonts into a text field with the Transducer font, but not when typing the ´ first and then o "ó" which we do ..

   The Transducer Variable font works as it should, but not Transducer ..

9. Adding Frutiger font family

   Hi,

   Frutiger® by linotype font would be a massive upgrade to Adobe fonts. This font is commonly used for signage. This font should be in the top 10 of all designer fonts.

   Is there any chance that this font would be available on Adobe fonts soon?

10. List of Font Folio fonts

    We just want a list of fonts we'll get when we purchase Font Folio. We're looking for substitutes for Type 1 fonts. A "surprise box" of fonts isn't cool. My company won't spend thou$ands for Font Folio unless we KNOW what we're getting...

    (And no, the subscriptions fonts are not adequate. Not to mention there isn't a list of those either.)

12. make 3rd party fonts available on Adobe font foundry

    Adobe does not have the font Gotham. This is a very popular font and it has been popular for a very long time. I was told by Adobe Support that it is not in the Adobe Fonts collection because it is a 3rd party font. For a long time, Adobe has been negligent and still carries way too little number of fonts, and not enough of the popular ones that are considered current to design. After collecting so much money from Adobe subscriptions, Adobe should be providing better and more fonts. This poses a huge problem for startups and freelancer solo workers who do not have large funds to buy the fonts that are considered basic to the current trends. Please do not put this issue aside, I am fed up at this point, after years of the changes in your font management systems, nothing has improved. This is a major issue and fonts are a vital foundation to design.

13. Improve Font Search

    I searched for a typeface I installed yesterday, Owners, in order to install a medium weight version. No font results appeared. I had to go to Google Search to find the Adobe font page.

14. Rustica font Vertical Metrics need fixing

    Rustica font needs fixing!

    The Rustica font works perfectly on Mac but when viewed on Windows across the major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera and IE Edge) the vertical metrics are out which makes the font look like its being pushed up.

    This Google Lighthouse recommendation pertains to the settings for font-display: swap;:

    In the font manager I do see the capability to choose Swap, but I don't see anywhere where we can define the local src setting. Ideally we could set it to something like the following:

16. Gibson Font Glitch

    The dollar symbol for lower weights (500 or less) in the Gibson font family has a glitch. Can confirm this on web font version, not sure if it also happens on the desktop version. See screenshot below.

17. Fix Font Syncing UX

    The current font syncing UX through creative cloud is extremely frustrating. After downloading a dozen font families, those families are constantly disappearing off of my computer (even though the families are still selected as active) and requiring me to re-download/install them individually by font weight/style. This means having to click the "download/install" button 10+ times for every single font family, meaning 100's of clicks for a full library, which has to be re-done every few months. On top of that, the fonts are re-arranged within the list immediately after the download button is clicked (I'm assuming because they're ordered by last modified date?), making it completely unusable for anything larger than two font families, as the font you're trying to download instantly jumps to the top of a long list.

    Potential fixes for this problem:
    1. If a font is selected as activated, don't remove it from the system. (Adding this as a preference would be fine too if need be). I can only assume this is a licensing thing because why would you un-download an activated font automatically??
    2. If that's not possible, have a "Re-download All" button that downloads all active fonts, or at the very least add a download button next to each family as opposed to by individual weight.
    3. Don't reorder the list as download buttons are being clicked (or just order by name so it doesn't reorder by last modified following every click) so the fonts aren't jumping around as you're trying to re-download.

    Any/all of these should be fairly easy fixes to one of the worst UX's I've ever been subjected to. (end rant and thanks for the consideration, we all appreciate it!!)

    PS If a "download all" feature exists and I've just missed it, disregard all that, but haven't found a way to download more than one font weight at a time.

19. Separate "font suggestions" from "no results found" in search results

    Adobe Fonts recently updated the way search results work. If there are no results for your query, recommended fonts are displayed instead. There is a disclaimer message at the top right, but it is very easy to get confused and think the desired font is somehow further down in the results. Please return the previous "no fonts found" messaging to the top of the search results, and place the font suggestions in a separate section below.

    Search has also worsened in quality recently, making search results more difficult to parse. When searching "Caslon", three rows of suggestions appear for unrelated fonts. In order to find Adobe Font's offerings for Caslon, you need to search a specific query such as "King's Caslon" or "Adobe Caslon". Even then, only that one version of the font appears. Currently, the only way I've found to review all the different types of Caslon offered is to Google "Caslon" + "Adobe Fonts". As a result, I no longer use the search feature on Adobe Fonts, and instead opt for using Google. The list on Google lacks the visual component that Adobe has, meaning it isn't a perfect solution.

    I do not mind being suggested fonts that are visually similar to what I'm looking for, but often I'm looking for something very specific, and just want to know if Adobe Fonts has it, or if I'll need to source it elsewhere. I think if the font suggestions were separated below the actual search results, it would help. At the same time, please ensure that partial queries (such as "caslon" or "garamond") pull up font results that include those queries in the title. Currently, the way the results display make it seem like Adobe's search engine doesn't understand what you're looking for. Thank you for your consideration.

20. Custom font descriptions - add, edit and search

    When i download a font, it's usually because I have in mind a specific requirement that I need it for. For example, some fonts I've downloaded for use in western themes, others because they resemble a specific old font used in a particular book and yet others for numerals only that i want. Keeping track of these is impossible because often several months may elapse between downloading and usage. Would love to be able to add a custom description to a font when downloading or using and then be able to search for those words when i'm looking for it.
